Privacy notice

Browsing jobfacts collects nothing about you. Getting an API key means giving us an email address, and this page says what happens to it.

jobfacts is run by the operator of jobfacts, the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: a contact address will be published here when sign-up opens. Last updated 10 October 2026.

Using the website

The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising. If you choose a light or dark theme, that choice is stored in your own browser and never sent to us. Like any website, our hosting provider sees your IP address to deliver pages, and may keep it briefly in server logs for security.

Getting an API key

When you ask for a key, we collect:

  • your email address, to send you the link to your key;
  • what the key is for, if you tell us;
  • when the key was created, when it was last used, and which version of the API terms you accepted.

We use these to issue your key, to stop abuse (such as one person taking many keys), and to email you about changes that affect your key, which is rare. We never send marketing and never sell or share your address for anyone else's use. Our lawful basis is that we need the data to provide the key you asked for, and our legitimate interest in running the service securely.

The sign-up form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a script, is asking. Cloudflare processes information about your browser to do that; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Who handles it

Your data is handled for us by our hosting provider, which runs the API and its database, and our email provider, which delivers the link. Both act only on our instructions.

How long we keep it

  • A request whose link is never used is deleted about a week after the link expires.
  • Your key's record, including your email address, is kept while you have a key. Ask us and we'll delete it, which also ends the key.
  • Request logs, which record which key made each request and the IP address it came from, are kept for up to 30 days to investigate faults and abuse.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Contact us using the address above. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
